DanLinguistic is a translation company located in the Northern Part of Denmark. The daily running of the company are taken care of by Willy Nørgaard Olesen, BA, MA, BA. I got a Swedish BA Degree in Global Study from University of Gothenburg and a British MA Degree also in International Relations from University of Kent at Canterbury. And an BA Degree in English Language, Literature and Translation. Since graduation in 1989 I have been working as a translator from English, Swedish and Norwegian into Danish for different companies, institutions and organizations world-wide. I have supplemented my first BA degree in Global Development from University of Gothenburg, Sweden and my MA degree in International Relations from University of Kent, England with an additional BA course in English Language, Literature and Translation at Aalborg University, Denmark.

Since graduation I have had a full time job as both a free-lance translator and an in-house translator in London, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and in Frederikshavn.I have done many different translation projects for both local, national and international customers. I have very good references from many of my clients. They often regards the quality of the translation to be well above average. In addition to economics, politics and sociology - I specialize in technical texts, including consumer electronics, general electronics, computer technology, electricity, web-site and software localization, anatomy, medicine, neurology, pharmacology and psychological texts.

I specialize in translation of Social Science and Technical texts into Danish. I also offer proof-reading and editing in Danish. When it comes to choose a translator for doing translation of high quality there are some basic rules to follow:

1. Demand references from the translator so you can get your translation done as a professional teamwork.
2. I will advise you very strongly always to use a native speaking translator for the text to be translated and preferably someone with a academic background.
3. Many translators tries to cover anything and many language combinations - but in reality it does not work - no matter how good a degree or language education he/she might have the quality of a given translation are always better if it is done by a native speaker of the target language.
